Officially Done

Now, it may play slowly the first time around, but its good when you try again.

Exporting!

Right now I am waiting as my animation, complete with sound, exports. Then I am done. And after that I will probably upload the video onto blogspot. I hope it fits...as I have a feeling that the file may be too large, but I'll try anyways. Its around a minute and 46 seconds...

November 12

Well, I'm waiting for my friend to email me the sounds that we made. She never actually put them on my flashdrive, and I didn't just want to sit here in class with nothing. She needed to get up anyways. It's finals, right? Of course.

My task today? Finish up placing my sounds in and export...and then..I'm done.

November 10

I didn't touch the animation over the weekend because I had other stuff I needed to do, and I will be making sounds for it tonight perhaps, as I need one of my friends to do the voices. In conclusion, not much work will be done today for it.

Wednesday, November 5, 2008

Look, I did it and here's the proof.

So I reached my mark on schedule. This is fantastic. So now all I officially have to do now are my sounds. Animation is done. I do already have some sounds on here but they didn't work for some reason. That's alright. I think I have time to figure it out later.

chouette.

November 5

Still animating. I want to get this done in time. And by on time, I pretty much mean by today as far as animating goes. It's plausible, and I'm going for it. Then onto sounds.

November 3

Still animating. I've gotten a lot farther on my animation and will near completion within the week...I think. Sounds might hold me back for a few days, but no concern.

I have nothing to show.

I really don't. But I swear that I am working really, really hard. Animation isn't all about glitter and glam people. Give it time. I know you're growing impatient, but please.

Time.

Monday, October 27, 2008

So, this is how far I got in my animation over the weekend. It only shows you what happens before the really cool part...So..you're going to be left, riddled with anxiety. Just what does he do next? It looks like he might say something? I just don't know, but I "need" to know?!

Well, don't worry. Soon enough, my friends, all will be revealed in due time.

New Post

Problem's arisen. I fell into the false sense of security and didn't check my fps. I am now slowly going through it, adding twice as many frames. It was a little too late by the time Prof. said 15 was alright, so now I am ...giving myself more work.. I wanted to post something but uh...well..stuff happens.

Monday, October 20, 2008

So, this is what I've been doing...

yes. This seems to be all I have done over the weekend. Oh, the hours I've slaved on this one image! Time that I'll never get back....

and, I've also gotten a significant amount of work done on my animation. Well, only a quarter of the way done, but I'm feeling pretty hopeful right now.

oh...I see. So you didn't find that image featuring my title to be worth all the hype I was giving it least week? Well, fine. Here.

I know.

I have conquered the BG's!

No, not the band, but YES! The backgrounds for my animation. They are glorious and I would show you but I am now busily animating my character. I will certainly show you next time, when I have the time to convert them all from flash into something manageable. Oh, they are so magnificent....

Not much today

I may not have much to show you today, but I think this deserves a worthy mention.

Well, now that I've got you humming the song all day, today I am going to start drawing up my backgrounds for the story. I'll show them when I have completed them.

So, the first one wasn't good enough, eh?

Well, I revised it then. It should be better. If it isn't, I'm blaming the pain killers.

Tutorial #5 and storyboard

So, here's the lip sync tutorial :

and my storyboards. The title isn't included but I really think I am going to name it "How do you like them apples?" because it seems to fit well. Nothing interesting in how I use the title if you really are all that curious. It'll just appear and then fade into nothingness in the first frame. Nothingness.

After my people reviewed my work, I think I am going to have to fix some parts that aren't clear enough. I'll probably need to have an establishing shot to show the tree full of apples to show that at the very end of the story, there are none left. Also, Max seems to think that there is a gaping void in the top of my characters head as he eats the apple so more to come on that...

Character Sheets and Tutorial #3

So, here they are! Johnny and his trusty sidekick, Hoover. Still mulling over a title, and Hannah helped me out with one of them. "How Do you like Them Apples" seemed to be sufficiently funny so I might go with that.
I decided to draw them and design them in Flash instead of sketching them on paper because I feel I can never really get the same look. I'm pretty new at Flash, and drawing on the cintiq in general, so I'm playing it safe for my first project. I may have more sketches for my Production Book.

This is most likely the loosest I have worked with any style. I think it should be fun, because I have more leeway to make him look as ridiculous as possible, and exaggerate his features and expressions if I want. Joyous.

This one is so glitchy...

While this one is effin amazing!!!

Script

Script, always subject to change, but so far, it seems pretty decent. I don't have a title just yet.

My animation

These are my VERY FIRST FLASH ANIMATIONS!!! OH, the unprecedented glory of it all. Enjoy.

After looking at both of these extensively, I have come to the conclusion that they both look exactly the same. Which is disappointing really, and leaves me little faith for my bigger project.

Story Premise

Premise thus far:

One afternoon, Johnny Appleseed finds he's out of apples and he is very hungry. He decides to plant trees and wait for the apples to grow.
As they slowly ripen, he picks one occasionally to check if it is ready. After many attempts, he finally picks an apple that is perfect and delicious. He finishes his first and goes back for another, only to find there are no more apples.

Third Post

Well, I dont usually carry around too many pieces of work, but I do have these:

I'm rather fond of character design. The dog below me is a character I am using for me Senior animation. Adorable, isn't he?

And this...well, this is just poetry.

It's alright. Words needn't be said.

Second Day

Some of my favorite animation:

Beautifully crafted, it inspires me to get off my butt and animate

This just brings me back to childhood:

and another old-time favorite:

We all have our favorite cartoon characters. He is just wonderful:

And I know, I know that everyone has seen this in class before, but no matter how many times I see this, it just gets to me...right here..*sniff* right here....*points at heart*

See, kids? You can enjoy all kinds of animation!

First Day

First day, first post.

I am a Senior in Animation and I am interested in taking this class because I need to know Flash. There are a few companies I am looking into which require Flash, so it only makes sense that I am here.

About myself? I'm from New Hampshire but I plan to move far away from cow-state as soon as possible. Right now I am learning French (just in case, you never know) and I hope to work for Disney if I can.

The movie that inspired me to really become an animator was Road to EL Dorado.
My favorite animal is GIANT SLUG!!!!!!!!!
I do not have a favorite color, as all of them hurt my eyes equally.
I am fond of tofu.
One of my favorite cartoons as a kid was The Angry Beavers.
I look to Hannah O'Neal for inspiration.

save the whales.
